School Policies

1. Tuition

The tuition you pay reserves an exclusive weekly time on the schedule.  This means your lesson slot is unavailable to other students and we have made a commitment to instruct you at that specific time. Although efforts are made to keep students with the same teacher for continuity of learning, we cannot guarantee the length of time students will remain with the same teacher.  Muse mantra takes pride in hiring the best teachers in their respective fields.  Every teacher on our staff is experienced and skilled to teach quality lessons for the instruments they have been hired to teach.

There is a one-time registration fee of $50 per student. The number of lessons per month will vary according to how many weeks per month, but tuition will remain the same.

Muse mantra offers bi-annual recitals at an additional cost. Recitals are optional and any student who plays multiple instruments will choose one to play in the recital.

Accounts past due will forfeit lessons to students on our waitlist.  Accounts past due will be placed in a hold status.  Muse mantra does not guarantee same teacher placement for accounts past due.

Students are charged for all lessons, including those missed through student absence or cancellation.  Students can attend a Supplemental Group Lessons for any missed or canceled lessons. Refunds and credits will not be offered for missed or cancelled lessons. 

If a teacher becomes unavailable, muse mantra will provide a substitute teacher for your lesson.  If the student declines the lesson with the available substitute teacher, they can sign up for a supplemental music lesson, a private make up lesson will not be provided.  If a substitute teacher is not available, a private make up lesson will be scheduled with the instructor.  Make up lessons will be forfeited if not scheduled within 30 calendar days. Once scheduled, make up lessons cannot be rescheduled.

Most books and materials are provided by Muse Mantra, and the cost billed to credit card on file.

Your monthly tuition does not only cover the lesson time with your student. It also covers:

• Lesson preparation and curriculum development

• Accounting, website, resources 

• Expenses such as copying, printing, computer software, paid apps

• Employment taxes, business insurance

2. Missed Lessons

• Students who miss a scheduled lesson have the opportunity to attend a 1 hour Supplemental Music Lesson.

• Supplemental Music Lessons are first come basis.  If all spots are full for the current month, you can sign-up for the following month.

• The supplemental lessons schedule is posted on SignupGenius portal that can be accessed by clicking HERE.

3. Withdrawal Notice

• If a student must withdraw from taking lessons, written notice (email or text) must be given to the school prior to the next auto-draft date. 

• Muse Mantra will cancel the upcoming bills once a notification is received. 

• Please note that there is no contract and you pay month-to-month. There is no penalty for withdrawing from lessons. 

• However, no refunds or credits will be given for lessons which have already been paid.

4. Parental Supervision

For student’s safety and well-being, we have equipped each of our classrooms with state-of-the-art video streaming system that can relay real-time video to parents/guardians’ smart phones or tablets. This technology will enable parents/guardians to either stay in their cars or go about their business with on-demand access to their child’s lesson. However, parents/guardians are welcome to wait in the school lobby while the students are taking lessons.
